Accompanying sauce has a fresh flavour and compensates for the salty flavour of the cheese croquettes, which might be a little much to some - but to me it was quite right! Item 55 contains three Cheese croquettes, which have a creamy mature cheese filling. ![]() These are absolutely delicious! It’s exactly what you would expect but adding a crispy battered coating around the fries makes them even better! Serving size is suitable for 2 people comparing to serving size of most other dishes. Quite nice indeed! Perhaps a little spicy to the untrained.ĭish 31 is a set of 3 Chorizo croquettes which is my absolute favourite and has me craving for seconds! The dip that comes along with it mostly remains untouched as I think it takes away from the pure flavour of the croquettes.ĭish 47 brings to the table a plate of Fries from sweet potatoe, served with curry flavoured mayonaise. It has a refreshingly new and interesting flavour which overwhelms my tastebuds time and time again. You don’t get the used coaster back later on - simply use a new coaster for your next round: as many as you like to soothe your appetite.ĭish 29, the Chorizo hotdog with onion, gurkin and humus is bytesize. Ordering items works by using the numbers in front of every menu choice. The bread is also simply on the menu (item 4) so this time I decided to skip on that offer. There is a Cuban theme to all of the restaurant’s interior, with pictures, illustrations, colours and materials chosen to give you a Cuban experience.Īs usual, I was given the opportunity to order ahead some bread with aioli and tappenade while browsing the menu for my first order. As requested the table is in the rear room on the ground floor. Making the dinner reservation was pretty straight forward using the Haarlem restaurant detail page on the chain’s website (add dot nl behind the restaurant name) and upon arriving I was happily greeted by a staff member showing me to my table. At € 17,50 (€ 22,50 on Fridays and Saturdays) you can spend all night enjoying lovely food, two menu items at a time, with the only limit being your appetite. La Cubanita has an all-you-can-eat offer which is hard to refuse. And tonight, for the first time, I’m trying another restaurant in their chain: Haarlem.
